James is a telemetry and controls specialist, with a background in distributed sensor networks for the built environment. He leads system integration and data collection efforts for AI SpaceFactory's autonomous construction practices and has also developed the company's smart sensor networks, through which he quantifies our habitats' indoor environment – how they affect health, productivity, and comfort – to ensure optimum human wellbeing within our structures.
James has held R&D positions at Princeton University and private companies, where he built custom sensing solutions and oversaw distributed sensing deployments to measure air quality in and around buildings. James also led the technological effort to develop novel Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) techniques for hospitals via distributed sensing and occupant tracking. He is a published author in Scientific Journals and Industry guides.
